Covenanters in World Missions

We are pleased to share that Jonathan & Alysa Bell from our church -Evangelical Covenant Church of Milwaukee, WI are serving in Botswana.
 

Jon is a pilot with Flying Mission in Botswana, 2008-2010. Alysa is Garden Girl among other things!! Look for fun stories and pictures at their blog!

There are 2 options for sending money through the Christian Stewardship Foundation for the Bells.

1.Write out a check to Christian Stewardship Foundations and then put a post it note on the check with note stating that you are donating to the Bells in Botswana. Send this to Christian Stewardship Foundation C/O Sue Zivney 4914 Firestone Dr.  College Station,  TX 77845

or

2. Send it by pay pal through the computer to Szivney@suddenlink.net - send a separate accompanying email to the same address letting Ms. Zivney know that you are donating to the Bells in Botswana.

Women's Ministries

We have an active Women's Ministries group. Our purpose is to the support Missions and Outreach Committee at our church and encourage fellowship and spiritual growth for women. The current president is Keta Bruseth and Charlotte Vogt is VP and the secretary . Darlene Norman is in charge of projects, Betty Pearson is the Treasurer and Charmaine Rabbishaw is in charge of Social.

We have an active "Circle" by the name of Priscilla Circle. The chair of that circle is Marianne Heidel. Look for meeting dates in the Messenger newsletter posted under the Contact Us button. This circle makes Birthday Boxes for the Wauwatosa Food Pantry and many other community outreach activities. They are always looking for donations of cake mixes, shoe boxes, Beanie Babies or other small stuffed animals, wash cloths, hotel travel samples, tooth paste, brushes, etc.

There is a group of women who meet as a Book Club. They have a meeting approximately every month to discuss their book of the month. You are welcome to come to one or all of their meetings whether you have read the book or not!! 

We are part of the Central Conference division of Women's Ministries of the Evangelical Covenant Church. We encourage you to check out the missions that our women are working on at http://www.covchurch.org/women

Christmas Day Dinner   

We are the founders, and now co-hosts, of an annual Christmas Day dinner that serves more than 100 seniors. We prepare the food, serve our guests, make them feel at home, provide gifts, present a program and then clean up after all the festivities have ended. All are invited to join in this wonderful day of Christian fellowship.

We support the children of prisoners every Christmas season as we participate in Prison Fellowship’s Angel Tree Ministry. We purchase gifts that have been chosen by the incarcerated parent and then deliver them to the children.

We are active donors to this important community resource.
